Rayon Sports defender Youssou Diagne was forced to leave training and rushed to hospital after sustaining an injury to his arm during the team’s training session.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Nzove Training Ground, where Rayon Sports were conducting their regular preparations.
According to information from the club, Diagne, who is a regular player in the defensive line, was unable to complete the training session after suffering a serious injury to his right arm, which reportedly involved a bone dislocation.
Following the injury, the Senegalese defender was immediately taken to Legacy Hospital for medical examination and treatment. Medical staff are expected to further assess the severity of the injury to determine how long he will be sidelined.
As a result of this setback, Diagne is expected to spend some time away from competitive action, dealing a blow to Rayon Sports as they continue their Rwanda Premier League campaign.
Diagne is not the first Rayon Sports player to suffer an arm injury this season. Earlier, Ndikumana Asman also sustained a similar injury during a match against Singida Black Stars, which kept him out of action for some time.
The club is yet to issue an official statement regarding Diagne’s recovery timeline, as fans await further updates on his condition.
