RwandAir reassures passengers affected by canceled Dubai flight

RwandAir, Rwanda’s national airline, has reassured passengers affected by the cancellation of one of its flights to Dubai, confirming that arrangements were made to assist them in traveling on alternative flights.

The airline issued the reassurance after a passenger shared concerns on social media, explaining that they were stranded at O.R. Tambo International Airport despite holding a valid ticket for a RwandAir flight to Dubai, which was later canceled.

Airline issues apology and explanation

In response to the post, RwandAir apologized for the inconvenience caused and explained the circumstances surrounding the last-minute cancellation.

“We always do our best to inform passengers of any changes to their flights as early as possible. However, when challenges arise at the last minute, it may not always be possible to notify passengers in advance,” the airline said in a statement.

RwandAir added that its ticketing and customer service teams were actively working to ensure that all affected passengers were assisted and rebooked on the next available flights.

“We assure our passengers that our ticketing teams are assisting those affected so they can continue their journey on subsequent flights,” the statement added.

Commitment to passenger service

The airline emphasized its commitment to customer care, noting that passenger safety and comfort remain a priority even when unexpected operational challenges occur.

Expanding route network

RwandAir recently expanded its route network by launching new destinations to Zanzibar and Mombasa. The airline continues to operate flights across multiple continents, offering both direct routes and connecting services through partnerships with international airlines.

These partnerships allow RwandAir to provide passengers with access to a wider global network while maintaining service reliability and flexibility.
