The Prosecution has requested the Kicukiro Primary Court to sentence several individuals — including Uzabakiriho Cyprien, known as Djihad; Ishimwe Patrick; Ishimwe François Xavier; Kwizera Nestor, known as Pappy Nesta; and Kalisa John, known as K John — to five years in prison after accusing them of distributing explicit videos of Yampano engaging in sexual activity. The videos at the center of the case allegedly show the artist, whose real name is Rizagwira Florien, involved in sexual acts.
The Prosecution stated that Yampano filed a complaint acknowledging that he recorded the videos consensually and stored them in his email. However, it is alleged that Ishimwe Patrick (also known as Pazzo Man), who was his manager, downloaded the videos and shared them with Kalisa John, who allegedly helped distribute them further. Yampano also claimed that Djihad posted the videos on his WhatsApp status.
Regarding Uzabakiriho, known as Djihad, the Prosecution presented evidence that explicit videos of Yampano were posted on his WhatsApp status. They also indicated that there is a video of Djihad singing and beating a drum while saying that “secrets from Nyarugenge are exposed, but be patient, the guitar is still playing.” It was further revealed that Djihad administered a WhatsApp group with more than 989 members, where Yampano’s videos were allegedly shared.
Witness testimony from Eric Semuhungu and Gatete Sharon indicated that they saw the videos posted on Djihad’s WhatsApp status. Djihad told the court that he never sent the explicit videos to anyone, although he admitted seeing them in the WhatsApp group.

He stated:“I stand before you — I did not send those videos to anyone because I know it is a crime.”
