Jack Ma and Jerry Yang are in Rwanda as part of the Africa’s Business Heroes (ABH) program, an initiative launched by Alibaba Group to support African entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas and strong growth potential.
The ABH program seeks to identify talented entrepreneurs from across the continent and provide them with financial support, mentorship, and global exposure to help scale their businesses.
This year marks the 7th edition of Africa’s Business Heroes. At the end of the program, ten outstanding entrepreneurs will be selected to share grants worth a total of 1.5 million US dollars.
The initiative has played a key role in promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in Africa, helping young business leaders turn ideas into sustainable enterprises that create jobs and contribute to economic growth.
Jack Ma is one of the world’s most influential business figures, with an estimated net worth exceeding 27.2 billion US dollars, while Jerry Yang, a leading technology entrepreneur, is reported to be worth over 3.1 billion US dollars.
