Bruce Melodie addresses separation rumors with his wife

Bruce Melodie has denied rumors that have been circulating in recent days claiming that he and his wife, Catherine, have separated, and that he replaced her with a woman known as Mamy LaDiva.

The artist addressed these claims during an interview with MIE Empire, where he was asked about reports alleging that his marriage had collapsed and that he no longer has a stable family.

In response, he said that he did not invite anyone to come and “build” his home for him.

He said, “I have the right to be with whoever I choose. Do you understand me clearly? I also have the right to live my life the way I want. What I do not have the right to do is to bring my family into your issues.”

He added that while he can speak for himself, his family includes his children and their mother. He explained that matters concerning his marital status are part of official identity records, and that people only share family information they feel does not cause harm.

He went on to say that anyone who writes on X claiming that he has separated or married again never contacted him beforehand.

He said, “If I didn’t call them when I got married, did I call them when I separated? These are my personal matters, and even those who separate are men. Besides, even if I were a Muslim, I still have the full right to live freely. I am proud of my family and I also love the people who talk about it a lot.”

Bruce Melodie then asked that no one should ask him this question again.

He said, “I respect family very much because I struggled to build mine, whether in good times or bad, regardless of people who come out shouting such things without respecting the fact that there are young children involved. Anyone with sense was once a child and had parents. When you interfere in someone’s family, the one who is most affected is the child. Otherwise, I am fine. Do not ask me this question again.”

The artist also denied rumors that have been spreading that he uses drugs, saying, “Do people who use drugs look like this?”

He was also asked about scenes from his recently released song titled Munyakazi, in which he appears using a hair dryer on another man’s hair. Some people interpreted this as mocking fellow artist The Ben. Bruce Melodie explained that he was simply advising people to protect themselves from the wind.
