Cameroonian striker Jules Armand Kooh Bioumla, who previously featured alongside Bryan Mbeumo in the Cameroon national team setup, is expected to arrive in Kigali on Wednesday night to finalize his move to Rayon Sports.
The 26-year-old forward, who parted ways with Club Africain on July 23, 2025, has been in advanced discussions with the Rwandan giants and is now set to complete the final stages of the transfer.
Jules Armand has agreed to join Rayon Sports on a six-month contract, covering the remainder of the 2025/26 Rwanda Premier League season. His arrival had initially been scheduled for Monday evening but was delayed due to pending travel documentation.
According to travel details arranged by Rayon Sports, the striker will depart Douala, Cameroon, aboard a RwandAir flight at 4:00 PM, with an expected arrival at Kigali International Airport at 9:30 PM.
The club’s Spokesperson and Technical Director, Olivier Gakwaya, confirmed the development, stating that there are no anticipated obstacles to completing the deal unless medical issues arise.
“We are expecting striker Jules to arrive in Rwanda on Wednesday. If his medical assessment is satisfactory, there should be no problem, as all his documentation has been finalized,” Gakwaya said.
Rayon Sports is planning to reinforce its squad with five new signings during the January 2026 transfer window. In addition to Jules Armand, the club is targeting a defensive midfielder, two wide attacking players, and a left-sided defender.
Among the confirmed additions is Kitoko Likau Faustin, popularly known as ‘Pizzaro’, who will strengthen the midfield.
The club is eager to improve its attacking output as it prepares for the second half of the season, with Jules Armand expected to play a key role in boosting goal-scoring options.
Rayon Sports will return to league action on Saturday at 6:30 PM, hosting Etincelles FC at Kigali Pelé Stadium. The match will mark the first competitive fixture under new head coach Bruno Ferry, adding further anticipation to the encounter.
All eyes will now be on Jules Armand’s arrival in Kigali as fans await confirmation of his signing and potential debut in the blue-and-white jersey.
